I have been breeding British Shorthair since 1986 and I’m the founder breeder for the Selkirk Rex in the UK (since 2003), and Scottish Fold since 2005. Based in Byfleet in Surrey, I specialise in Chocolate and Cinnamon series cats and have a particular interest in the genetics of coat colour and pattern. I am always interested in breeding new colours and traits, with the blue/odd eyed cats being my current goal. By working with the Dominant Blue Eye (Altai) gene, I hope to achieve this variation across all colours, patterns and breeds that I work with, whilst making the necessary checks to ensure that the cats are healthy.

I am always happy to chat about the cats and willing to mentor potential new breeders. I have no agenda, and will always be honest about my cats and breeding in general, as the health and happiness of the cats comes first, but also appreciate there has to be a good "fit" between the animals and their owners.

Celebrity claims to fame are Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry have two of my Scottish Fold girls, and Mark Owen (Take That) and his family have two BSH girls and a Selkirk Rex Longhair boy. Bruce Foxton (From The Jam) had a BSH boy some time ago.

I raise and show and pet quality registered: Selkirk Rex cats. The Selkirk Rex cat is gentle and sociable. He is affectionate and likes to cuddle, making him a good choice for families with older children, other pets or frequent guests. Assuming he was well socialized as a kitten, he can be a good traveler and can make an excellent therapy cat. The Selkirk is by no means a couch potato, but he is more restful to live with than some breeds. The curls are everywhere.
